Mrs Jenny L C Geh is Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts.
She was the Chair of the Plastics Pan-Thames Specialty Training Committee(2011-2013). She is a graduate of the University of Nottingham Medical School, full member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS), The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), and was an advisory member of the UK Melanoma Study Group (MSG), now taken up as part of Melanoma Focus.

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS trust, King's College Hospital.Outreach clinics at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sidcup Mrs Jenny L C Geh is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a special interest in melanoma, sentinel lymph node biopsy, non-melanoma skin cancers, reconstructive surgery for all skin lesions, including eyelid, ear and nose reconstruction. She has extensive experience of using Integra® Matriderm, and other artificial dermal templates for reconstruction.  She treats all aspects of plastic surgery including trauma and hand surgery. She was the first person in the UK and Europe to treat patients with Skin cancer in the pelvis with the Da Vinci Robot. She also has ecperience of the laparoscopic 3D approach and open approaches, particularly inportant fo research harvesting options She is actively involved in research on melanoma (T and B cell therapies) and skin cancer treatments. She was a specialist participant in the Parliamentary Melanoma Taskforce, Melanoma Focus UK and skin Specialist Interest Group as BAPRAS.

Cosmetic Surgery interests
Breast Augmentation, reductions, mastopexy, all aspects of facial rejuvenation including face and brow lift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, all aspects of ear surgery, liposculpture, fat transfer and abdominoplasty. 

Plastic surgery training
She studied cosmetic surgery throughout her training, in addition to attending aesthetic lists and clinics. She also trained in ear reconstruction and pediatric plastic surgery.
Specialist Registrar in Plastic Surgery on the London Pan Thames rotation, working at St Andrew’s Centre for Burns and Plastics, the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s University Hospitals, Guy’s and St Thomas’s Teaching Hospitals and finally Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. She was a Senior House Officer in Plastic Surgery at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds and Queen Mary’s University Hospital, Roehampton.  

She trained at the University of Nottingham, Queen’s Medical Centre and Derby Teaching Hospitals. She did her basic surgical training at the Hull Royal infirmary and the Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

 

Research
She was a Wellcome Research Fellow at University College London, in the Department of Anatomy and Embryology. She also has a Masters degree in Surgical Sciences (developmental biology) with a distinction and Professor’s Prize. She actively participates in both local and international research trials into skin cancer treatments.  Trials such as Melamag, Melmart 1 and Melmart 2, THETIS, TREE, MISST and B-cell lymphocyte actions.

Interests
She has an interest in skin oncology,(Robotic pelvic dissections), cosmetic, reconstructive, pediatric, ear and hand surgery. She has made special visits to the Sydney Melanoma Unit and Cosmetic surgeons in central London and Paris. She has been involved in the formal training of medical students at St George’s University Hospital, London. She now has medical students attached to the firm as both special study modules as well as international student electives. Research interests include melanoma and embryology and developmental genetics of disease.

 

Learned Societies
She is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic
Surgeons (BAPRAS) and has published papers and presented to learned societies over the years, the most recent being related to research audits and trials (see ORCHID). She is also a full member of the British Association of Plastic and Aesthetic surgeons (BAAPS).
